A quarter of US adults are using generative AI daily

24% of US adults and 39% of those ages 18-34 now use generative AI daily. Daily!

That’s one of the top findings in a new study of US consumers by Insights Exchange. Here are a few more consumer AI insights:

☑️ 27% of adults used ChatGPT in the past week -- the same percentage that used Snapchat.

☑️ 39% of adults have used generative AI for research or to ask a question, making this the top reason people use AI.

☑️ Nearly 1 in 5 adults have used generative AI to get a product recommendation, and the same percentage have used it to compare prices.

☑️ 18% have used generative AI to plan a meal.

I collaborated with Insights Exchange on the AI-related questions in this study, and I'm thrilled and honored to have written a short commentary in the report.

I know you’re going to want to download the full report and the AI findings (the full chart of AI activities is a keeper!). Plus, you’ll get fresh data on US consumers' digital media usage, media trust and attitudes toward sustainability.
